VOLUNTEERING AT ACLS

make a difference as a volunteer!

Volunteers are an integral part of Age Concern Lewisham and Southwark. We have volunteers working in almost all of our services, from befriending, day care and healthy living to receptionists and walk leaders. On average we receive over 30 enquires a week from people interested in volunteering. Our retention levels for volunteering are high due to volunteers feeling values and supported at the charity.

Age Concern Lewisham and Southwark strive towards helping older people across the two Boroughs. Without the help of our volunteers we simply would not be able to carry out this work. There are over 100 volunteers within the charity, some of whom have been volunteering for many years.

We have so many committed and longstanding volunteers because of the benefits we provide, these include:

  • The opportunity to develop your skills on both a personal and professional level
  • Comprehensive training
  • To really make a difference to older people within the area
  • To meet people and make new friends
  • To have a rewarding and enjoyable volunteering experience

We encourage and particularly welcome applicants over the age of 50.

If you would like to volunteer, simply download the application pack below, and send the completed form to us, either via email or by post: Volunteer Application Pack
