Age Concern Lewisham and Southwark strive towards helping older people across the two Boroughs. Without the help of our volunteers we simply would not be able to carry this work. There are over 100 volunteers within the charity, some of whom have been volunteering for many years.
We have so many committed and longstanding volunteers because of the benefits we provide these include:

We encourage and particularly welcome applicants over the age of 50.
Success Story
Mr D suffers from Parkinson’s disease. After a fall Mr D was matched with a volunteer befriender. Mr D and his volunteer befriender’s rapport was so strong it motivated Mr D to start travelling again and become a volunteer for Age Concern Lewisham and Southwark.
