There are many great ideas that can raise money for charity, such as cake sales, money chains, sponsored shaves and waxes, recycling old mobile phones, dinner parties, a fancy dress day at the office, the list is endless when it comes to developing fun and innovative ideas.

Getting your colleagues, friends and family together always makes the experience extra fun when raising money for charity.

Here's a few fundraising ideas:

Cake Sale
Get a few of your friends and/or colleagues together to bake some scrumptious cakes and cookies and sell them at your workplace, charging per slice. Always aim to raise at least three times more than you spent (i.e. if you spend £10 on ingredients aim to raise no less that £30).

Go Without Day
Is there someone you know that loves to talk, smokes, loves chocolate or is addicted to Blackberry Messenger or Facebook? If so, challenge them to give it up for the day, and get people to sponsor them for every hour they successfully go without.

Recycle your Mobile Phone
Do you have mobile phones laying around in drawers left in the dark, never to be used again? If so, recycling your mobile phone is a great way to raise money for charity and also care for the environment. Visit SHP for Charity and select Age Concern Lewisham and Southwark as your chosen charity.
